Itemization and item stats are significantly more meaningful in this one, as items can now yield benefits of ex. The English is vastly improved, at least in terms of grammar and spelling the style is still awkward at times. The grind was put in a "sweet spot" of sorts, where it still exists but isn't as excruciating as it was in Wizard. Thankfully, the last part of the Braveland trilogy offers a delightful, upward bounce in quality, matching the first Braveland and probably exceeding it. Not this time either but yeah, that's pretty bad. How disappointing exactly? Several times I was seriously considering going back to that review and changing it to negative, something I've never done before IIRC. I was a bit apprehensive going into this thing, seeing how disappointing Braveland Wizard was. Sorry if my english was bad and i hope you will enjoy this game There is achievements for the 100% game hunters :) There is 3 modes easy, normal and hard and you can change whenever you want but watch out there is a couple achievements about not changing it. There is a talent tree so u can choose your gameplay offensive, defensive or rage build.Īfter each battle you earn gold and experience and you repair the number of guys you lost in battle with gold. You travel accross the islands to level up get gear and gold and upgrade the number of your army. The graphics are 2D but with cool colors. The music is perfect but there is only 1 or 2 of them in loop. I completed the whole game on Hard and it took me around 15 hours. It is evident, that this time the developers have put a notable amount of effort into improving and polishing of the game, and I'd say that they have definetely succeded.īraveland Pirate is the third of the series its a Cute turn based RPG game and in my opinion worth the money because in my mind a game worth 1$/hour and its around 7 hours of gameplay time On easy. Overall, the best thing of all is that the game feels now much more solid, mature and well-designed, if compared with the prior parts. There are quite a few other new interesting features introduced, but I'll stop here, and let you discover by yourself. Dungeons now have limits, which is fine for me as well. Recruitable units are now grouped into pools, with units from each pool being available for hire in any one of tavern network scattered around, which saves you quite some time. The levelcap has also been increased to level 15. Instead they affect the hero unit only, which works fine with artefacts now being many and mostly useful. The hero attibutes do not affect the army anymore, which is not much of loss, since they their bonuses were neglectable anyway. The hero unit is, on the other side, quite useful and perfectly serves both as a damage dealer and a magnetic absorber of enemies' ranged attacks. You hero is now represented with a unit on the battlefield, which in theory limits your choice of troops to be taken with, but I haven't found it to be a hindrance. That was the biggest problem with Wizard, and in Pirate it is evidently properly taken care about.īut changes, and most of them to the good, are numerous. Probably the most improtant change for me is that the balance of the strength of your enemies and the amount of gold earned now makes way more sense, if compared to the previous installment. After not-so-good Wizard, Braveland Pirate is surprisingly good, even if borrows heavely from Katauri's King Bounty.
